Admission Guide for 2021/2022
Veritas Collegiate Academy Budapest announces admission for high school education in 2021/2022. for students completing their studies in the 4th, 6th and 8th grade of elementary school (including adequate grades at 6 and 8 grade high schools).
2021/2022 ACADEMIC YEAR COURSES
Four-year course in English and Hungarian (course code: 0001)
Students who enrolled in the four-year courses in English and Hungarian are expected to have a B2 level of complex language skill by KER. Students applying for the course will take an English language test. Students who has at least B2 language proficiency certificates are exempt from the test.
From every applicant we are ask to provide a portfolio, which they must present during the interview. The content of the portfolio is a presentation of the student’s areas of interests, sports or artistic activities, competition results, goals, strengths in a creative, informal way.
Six-year course in English and Hungarian (course code: 1002)
Students who enrolled in the six-year courses in English and Hungarian are expected to have a B2 level of complex language skill by KER. Students applying for the course will take an English language test. Students who has at least B2 language proficiency certificates are exempt from the test.

Eight-year course in English and Hungarian (course code: 2003)
Students who enrolled in the eight-year courses in English and Hungarian are expected to have a B1 level of complex language skill by KER. Students applying for the course will take an English language test. Students who has at least B1 language proficiency certificates are exempt from the test.
From every applicant we are ask to provide a portfolio, which they must present during the interview. The content of the portfolio is a presentation of the student’s areas of interests, sports or artistic activities, competition results, goals, strengths in a creative, informal way.
HIGH SCHOOL ADMISSION PROCESS
During the admission process of the four-year training
We take account of the end-of-year grades of elementary school’s 7th grade and the first semester result of the 8th grade (literature and grammar, history, mathematics, foreign language) and students (with the presence of the family) are also require to have an interview.
During the admission process of the six-year training
Students (with the presence of the family) are required to have an interview and an English language test.
During the admission process of the eight-year training
Students (with the presence of the family) are required to have an interview and an English language test.
Date of interview: February 23 – March 12. 2021
Location of interview: 1033 Budapest, Szentendrei út 85.
Applicants may find information of the exact schedule of the interview (room/date/student) with their OM number on the school’s website from February 1st 2021.
All applicants please bring the following to the interview:
- grade book or
- e-grade book copy,
- a portfolio,
- as well as one envelope with stamp, addressed to your own name.
During the informal conversation, we examine students’ manners, communication and cognitive skills, creativity and motivation. During the conversation with the family we would like to know how they see the school’s value and its’ goals, the ideas of further educations and the willingness of working together.
Evaluation criteria for the admission rank
In the ranking process, among those who achieved the same total score, the priority order is the following:
- multi disadvantaged students,
- disadvantaged students,
- students from Baptist denomination families,
- students coming from an institution maintained by
the internal ecclesiastical legal entities of the Hungarian Baptist Church, - students resident in the III. district.
After having the final result, we will communicate our final decision with the applicants and their schools.
Notifications will be posted by April 30, 2021.
